How to Advertise

We have a few sizes of advertisements available for purchase. These sizes are not specific, as our pagination team will slightly adjust the sizes of advetisements to best suit the page of our publication they appear on, but fit into five size categories: small, medium, large, banner and full-page. In addition, the Black Chocobo Courier offers cheaper Classifieds for any purpose.

Examples below show off different sizing options. Prices can be negotiated for multiple-moon runs of an ad. Please contact us either via tomestone or the form to the left to place an advertisement.

How We Use Your Gil

The primary purpose of our advertisements is to be able to afford compensating our staff for their time. Newspapers are a lot of time and effort, and though we own our own presses and cover most of our basic operations through subscriptions and sales, being able to better compensate our team for their significant investments of time and energy is a top priority for our ad revenue.

We also use our cash on hand, including spare ad revenue, to partner with other groups and events across Ethierys. This not only reinvests in the community we have chosen to represent but also helps promote the paper itself, building our own reputation.

And, honestly, we also want to feature things our community wants to support through our ad sales. Many things that advertise in the Courier are also covered by the Courier. This isn't a matter of buying favorable press, but rather the other way around - we seek to sell ad space to groups, causes, and events we believe in, as a matter of policy.
